We believe in the importance of supporting local businesses, that's why we're a proud member of Dane Buy Local. Buying local grows the communities in which we live through job retention and creation, generating tax revenue for the community, funding public infrastructure and so much more. Here at Gold Star, we strive to help the little guy because we are a little guy. The majority of our coffee is sourced from local coffee roasters in and around the Madison area, our customer base is made up, almost entirely, of small businesses, and we support our community by sponsoring various fundraising events throughout the Dane County area. Their founders’ excitement for great coffees grew from years of industry experience as well as an appreciation for the journey of each bean from farm to cup. This led them to their guiding principle of staying ‘true to the bean’. Staying true to the bean also means roasting in small batches to bring out the best expression, the “true” essence, of each coffee.
